Akiko is a goldsmith, making jewellery at her studio in Tokyo. She mainly uses high karat gold alloy and enamel, specialising in the use of fine wires. In this video, Akiko demonstrates the process of a gold object of an innovative design, where six layers of fine gold meshes with enamel beads are soldered to pile up and create semi-transparent gold-enamel brooch.
