Traditional Chinese bookbinding, first popularised in the Song Dynasty, is here presented as an act of reflection, delicacy, and ultimately appreciation for the past — and the present. Starting with the slow and reflected rollign of xuan paper, JIANGSU Jinling demonstrates the classical butterfly bind, while remininding the view of langauge’s ineffable power to persist and inspire.
