Working simultaneously across the mediums of textile and clay, Vanessa Lucas has a practice whereby the refining of form and the consideration of function have resulted in works of impeccable quality. With extensive experience in the field of textiles, having received an Advanced Certificate of Clothing Design from RMIT, and later receiving her ceramic mould making Certificate from Holmesglen Institute of TAFE in 2005, she has since worked in a disciplined double medium practice between textile and clay, and has exhibited in many esteemed exhibitions, including the 10th International Ceramics Competition in Mino, Japan receiving an honourable mention.
